My Story
I started working in the church during my freshman year of college. To be honest, working in the church was not on my list of future ambitions. I had a set plan and was well on my way in seeing it accomplished. But as you know (or may find out soon enough) sometimes our plans get changed through our experiences. God had a different story for selected for me and I set out to experience it fully.
I started out as an interim Youth Pastor in a small church and knew for sure that serving people in the local church was my purpose in life. I spent the next years serving churches and pursuing a degree in ministry. While at Bible College, I met Melanie (the love of my life) and we were married in the chapel on campus.
Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:62
I spent twenty years learning to lead, connect, and inspire others to do youth ministry. I’ve had the privilege to serve in some amazing places and meet some exceptional people. I am committed to being a life-long learner and I am convinced that is the only way you can lead well. I seek out any opportunity to share with others the things I’ve learned through mentoring, training, and speaking.
A few years ago, God sent our family out on a new adventure as Lead Pastor in the local church. It has been another amazing experience to grow and share what I’ve learned with others. Now the variety of people has expanded. I am now able to passionately share what I have learned to lead, inspire, and connect more than ever before. I know God has great things in store for this chapter of the story.
Melanie and I have two boys who keep us exceptionally busy and we enjoy doing activities that bring us together. We enjoy good food, rich conversation, and strong coffee. You can be certain that we will find the best coffee shops and Mexican restaurants wherever we go.
